Dr Colin Calleja was born on the 28th October 1963. In 1993 he obtained a first class honours degree in Education from the University of Malta, specialising in the teaching of Arabic and Early and Middle Years education (EMY). He subsequently completed an MA qualifying in Arabic. He later obtained a Masters in Education through the same University. In July 2013, he successfully completed his doctoral degree at Leipzig University, focusing on teachers’ transformative learning experience and professional development. His PhD subsidiaries were Inclusion and Special Education, Differentiated instruction and Comparative Education. Colin is currently a full-time lecturer at the Faculty of Education – University of Malta and Head of Unit for Inclusion and Access to Learning. Colin is the European Let Me Learn Centre Coordinator and the Malta National coordinator of the Let Me Learn Professional Learning Process (LMLpLp) – A joint initiative between the Directorate for Education and the Faculty of Education at the University of Malta.
